PicnEco bags consist of a Jute Bag, Plates, Glasses, Hot Drink Cups, Napkins and Cutlery.
The Jute bags are 100% compostable. The plates are made from 100% sugar Bagasse, which is the waste product created when cane sugar is pressed. They are more rigid than paper plates, and are suitable for hot, wet and even oily foods. Sugar Bagasse is a fully bio-degradable vegetable starch, and again is 100% compostable. The plates can also be recycled as paper.
The glasses are made from PLA bio-plastic, which is a renewable, compostable plastic, and are suitable for cold drinks (up to 50 degrees C). PLA is usually made from cereal crops, such as corn and wheat and is 100% compostable.
