A well earned picnic after the Royal Parks Half-Marathon!

This weekend sees the annual Royal Parks Half-Marathon take place in London, raising a fantastic amount for charity as well as bringing together the brave runners and their friends and families cheering from the sidelines.

This year, with soprano Katherine Jenkins as its ambassador, the Royal Parks Half-Marathon has attracted 16,000 entrants running to support 230 charities. After the run, which winds its way for 13.1 miles through a picturesque slice of London, taking in four of London's Royal Parks: Hyde Park, where it starts and finishes, Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St James' Park.'

Make a day of it once your runner has slipped on his or her aluminium wrap. Settle down in your favourite park, maybe St. James's where the pelicans watch the public, and tuck in to something nice and calorific. Peanut butter bagels are recommended for the post-run picnic, and of course you're allowed chocolate!

Check out the range of Picnic Hampers for the very best snacks and treats perfect after a tough morning of exercise!
